Join us for the very first volunteer day at our new farm in Nicholasville!
On Saturday, September 20, 2025, we’ll roll up our sleeves to help the mares look their best and get the barn sparkling clean ahead of our upcoming Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance (TAA) accreditation inspection.
After the work is done, we’ll celebrate with a sweet reward: an Ice Cream Social for all volunteers! 🍦
Schedule & Structure
When: Saturday, September 20, 2025
Mares & Barn Cleanup: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Ice Cream Social: 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Where: Mareworthy Charities – Nicholasville, KY (address provided upon registration)
Who Can Join: Open to volunteers of all experience levels—first-timers welcome!
What to Bring:
Comfortable clothes that can get wet or messy
Closed-toe shoes or boots
Optional: A towel or change of clothes if you want to join the mare-bathing fun!
Activity Breakdown
Bath Time for the Mares: Volunteers will help scrub, rinse, and groom the mares so they’re looking their finest for inspection.
Barn Cleaning: Sweep, tidy, and polish up the barn areas to make everything inspection-ready.
Ice Cream Social: Cool down, connect with fellow volunteers, and celebrate the first official event at our new farm.
